idk, hard to keep up with you guys tbh. Most of the mobile only games they have made thats not ports have just been really cheesy puzzle games.

Also Monster Hunter Explore was shut down before it ever reached America. Although apart from the other monster hunter mobile game its more traditional which is nice to see. Would love to see another one in the future

Monster Hunter Explore had an english port for apple in canada, it got shut down. The japanese version is still working and it's not hard to find a apk for it.

True, but if they are in need of money then porting it to America would do them some good. Dont know why they shut it down after a few months in Canadia.

Because they're bad at marketing and advertising outside of japan.

Wait wait wait, how is making more MH games indictative of financial trouble? If the series was doing that bad, then they'd stop making games, not make more of them. And if you're suggesting that Capcom is in financial trouble then you're ignoring Street Fighter V, Monster Hunter Generations, and Phoenix Wright Sprit of Justice sales, not to mention with RE7, RE2 Remake, Dead Rising 4, Dead Rising HD Collection, and Deep Down coming out soon, as well as the massive profit they've been making off of pachinko machines, they'll be fine.

http://www.nintendolife.com/news/20...monster_hunter_to_aggressively_increase_sales Here is the post about it. It dosent dirrectly say their in finacial trouble, but if their already pushing out another title to "Aggressively" increase sales. Then ya somethings up

That looks like a message sent to investors, which are always looking like that.

Not necessarily. The games have been coming out yearly for a while now, but they've been having staggered releases, so agressively speeding up development could just mean they're aiming for global releases with future installments, or it could relate to the rumors of mh5 being an NX launch title. Point is, just because they're speeding up development for new games doesn't mean they're failing, that's as much speculation as NX rumors.

Monster Hunter Stories was announced last year around the time MHX was, they aren't "aggressively" pushing out Monster Hunter games.

Besides MHX had a pretty long time to get worked on after MH4U was translated.

Monster Hunter's Explore had some really great graphics... Anyways, Furno is correct, there have been multiple releases of Monster Hunters mobile games. Multiple versions created originally for japan were also made in English versions. So, obviously, They are not "Japan Exclusive." And there is really no difference, as sunny pointed out, so there is really no point in trying to cover up your lack of knowledge. Also, I fail to see how they could be in any kind of financial trouble, just look at how many units of MHX alone they sold in the U.S.A, not even looking at japan.

I had a lack of knowledge on the japan only releases of brand new mobile titles but not of the ports of existing games in the franchise. Also true, but Monster Hunter dosent count as an overall sale count for Capcom. And Monster Hunter isn't the only game they announced to be worked on. So if their, "Aggressively" making other games, Aggressively being their own word, then something has to be up. No company aggressively releases titles for no reason.

As I said, it looked like a message to investors. Those messages are sent to people investing in the company, not to the fans usually. Using words like 'aggressively' is probably just to get more investors by hinting that there will be a boost in sales in a near future. It doesn't give an insight on the company's health.

Thing is that wasn't a message to investors, it was to fans. Or consumers letting them know what to expect in the future. And even if monster hunter sales are good, 1 franchise dosent speak for the whole company. Perhaps they have had failure in other areas and are trying to recover from it

Any proof that it was a message towards fans? It looks more like a company report.

Monster Hunter Generations, Street a Fighter V, Pheonix Wright Spirit of Justice, and The Megaman Legacy Collection all sold well. Even Umbrella Corps, which was a flop, did about as well as the company expected, and they didn't lose money on it. So at no point recently have they had a game series that's tanked hard enough for them to need to crank out more games to recover.

And the message itself doesn't seem like it's for consumers or fans, but rather for investors. Where exactly does it say it's for consumers?

Well it dosent have to be recent games in general. Their are many ways for a company to tank financially. Also the report wasnt made for investors nor was it held during any financial meeting. They just made a statment of what to expect in the near future. Which companys like Nintendo and Sony do constantley

So you're telling me that they're aggressively selling games to recover from a game that came out a year ago, or more? And what other way would the company tank? It sells pachinko machines and games, both of which are bringing it tons of money.

Not just a game can bring it down. So event could happen that could make them lose some money. I mean look at Konami.

CapCom hasn't had anything like what Konami's going through.

Konami did have multiple events ruin it, but those were all related to gaming and pachinko machines, and again, Capcom is doing very well in both those areas. And if there was inner turmoil thats big enough to ruin the company like Konami, we would have known by now, and since we haven't, it shows that there's either no inner turmoil or that if there is, it's so small as to be nonexistent
