How To Unlock Items In SMM3DS

I have been searching this one up for a long time! So that you don't have to worry... Nintendo reports:

You’ll unlock course elements (items, course themes, etc) as you play through the Super Mario Challenge mode. You’ll get new course elements to use when you clear a world for the first time. To access this mode, select “Super Mario Challenge” from the Main Menu.

(Edited URL, will transport you to direct link) Honestly, I think this is a little weird because in SMMW(U) you have to layout tons and tons of items and then they will "ship" the items to you. In order to make it go faster, you have to lay down more items. Funny how Nintendo changes it up. Still nice since because Nintendo is making Super Mario Challenge more popular. Here is an example of what the Super Mario Challenge look like in layout:

The Super Mario Challenge has 18 worlds with increasing difficulty... nothing much else to it.
