Wondering about a Wondertrade

I ran into a shiny Magikarp through wondertrade, and I'm not quite able to believe it. Do any of these stats and info bits look legitimate? Having never seen a shiny in person before, and a skeptical opinion of the internet, I'm afraid this guy could be a hack or something.

It all seems to good to be true. Is it? Until I get a general consensus to own or release him, I'll just keep him in a box away from the others.

So I took a look at the stats and abilities which your karp there has and compared them to the range which every karp gets and it looks to me that your karp is legit! Congrats on the shiny :)

Much like other things I've gotten that were too good to be true but were, I panicked over it for a half a day, forgot about it, remembered it in the evening, and thought awhile about how not only possible it is, but how feasible.
It's totally possible to get and hatch a shiny on the same day, then LV it up to a meager LV. The odds of course are stupidly high, but possible. Personally I wouldn't spend an entire day getting one to hatch, personal game-time limits and stuff. But I'm again thankful for shiny hunters and breeders who toil day and night for the right pokes.

I guess I can move that little scamp from the "Evil Shinys" box now. ^~^
