Things I Miss About Living in Japan

Things I Miss About Living in Japan

Here are some of the things I miss about when I lived in Osaka.
Maybe it's just because I miss my dad and living with him in his apartment above the streets, and with me being so little the nostalgia goggles are on big time. But anyways, I still do miss having these little things accessible to me on a daily basis.

1. Dango.. I don't really know how to describe it.. It's kind of like donut dumplings on a stick..

2. Drink Machines. At my school at least, in the Winter we had warm drinks and when it was warmer we had cold drinks.

3. Cream puffs. At my school, there was this cool machine that made cream puffs. They were really cold for some reason, but they were absolutely delicious. The vanilla cream tasted like metal though.. (⋋_⋌)

4. Pizza-La. When I would go to my friend's house after school, he always ordered it, even though it was kind of expensive because a lot of us came over. We kept getting these little bowls, which most of the time had Pokemon or '妖怪ウォッチ' characters, (Yokai Watch). My friends always let me keep the bowls, and I had at least ten of them.

5. Night. Where I lived, my dad and I would sometimes get up at night if both of us couldn't sleep. He would make this thing where you make an omelet kind of, and then put rice, ketchup, and chicken in it. He called it Omurice, but I don't really know if that's what it's called. Anyways, we would eat that and just watch people walk by outside in the busy city.

6. Akibahara. My dad would go with me to Akiba all the time. After a big exam was over we would always go and pick out some posters for our 'poster wall' and just kind of go on spree. My closet is filled with junk from those trips.. I need to go through that.. (︶︹︺)

7. Volleyball. I played volleyball with my dad for a while in the park and I finally built up the courage to play in school. I'm pretty tall so I had an advantage but deeeng, some of the people there were skilled af.. But it was fun none the less. Where I live now, there's no men's volleyball team.. ;-;

8. The Arcade. I had this one friend who loooved the arcade, but she pretty much only played the games where you can earn stuffed animals.. ;T I loved competing with other people's scores and going there after school if I was early enough. I was never first place on any of them though.. or second... or third... ;-;

Well I guess that's all I can put in without being obnoxious more so than I already am. Thanks for reading if you trudged onward through that mess.

XD

Have a nice day. ;p
