Yazoo and the rest of JENOVA's children who set out to distract their enemies had a close call in their fight against Yuffie and Vincent. However, before Yuffie and Vincent could finish them off, a low scale casting of meteor had prevented them from finishing battle, and protected Yazoo and his brothers as a result. Being aware of the gravity of the current situation at hand and what appeared to be impending doom for the planet, the two of them made way for Shinra headquarters, hoping Rufus would be able to give some answers regarding the event and the current situation of the planet. Kadaj, on the other hand, was still unharmed in her deep slumber. She continued resting peacefully, too engrossed in her dreams to wake up.
Chapter 15: Infinite Reunion Dreams
(This section will focus on Kadaj as the speaker) I found myself in the most wonderful paradise ever; it was so perfect and beautiful i could hardly believe what i was seeing. I flew above Shinra, gazing down at everyone who stood motionless looking back at me. They didn't attack me or try to resist in any way. I held Mother's stone tablet carefully in my hands, looking at it and reading the inscription that was in Mother's alien language, and said aloud "When the three remnants unite as one, the seal shall be broken and the Infinite Reunion will be activated." I signalled Yazoo and Loz to follow me up into what was now Mother's lifestream, high above the planet. Yazoo and Loz normally can't fly on their own like this, but thanks to the magic of Mother's precious treasure they were able to just this once. I lead us to the center of Mother's lifestream, then signalled my brothers to follow my lead. I gently let go of Mother's stone tablet and allowed the now infected lifestream to hold it in place. Then i said "Alright, brothers.... its finally time." They both nodded in agreement, and i was the first to place my hand on the stone tablet. Yazoo and Loz immediately did the same. All three of us resonating with its immense power, Mother's lifestream, and Sephiroth's power and very being still inside of me, we all said at the same time "Shine upon the planet... Infinite Reunion!!" That was when the stone tablet illuminated such intense and blinding light, it was all i could see. Even still, none of us let go of it. After several minutes passed, the light faded a bit and i noticed Mother's lifestream had engulfed the entire planet below us. It went from its natural blue and white mix to a bright green that slowly spread across the planet at an amazing pace. Before long, the planet was completely covered with Mother's cells and energy. I heard Mother say telepathically "This attack can see everything.... No one can escape it." I quickly noticed i was also in my complete form as a feminine replica of Sephiroth, my wing also visible. After the Infinite Reunion had engulfed the entire planet, we each let go of Mother's stone tablet. After we let go, it suddenly changed shape, going from its original state and transforming into another JENOVA lifestream which enveloped all of us. However, unlike the previous one, i noticed there was what seemed like an energy core that acted to keep it indefinitely strong. It resembled Mother's natural form that she only appeared to her children in, but it was not solid; just pure JENOVA cells that seemed to have endless power. I flew towards it, and looked at it and said "I did it, Mother.... I took back the planet for you... At last..." I heard Mother giggle, and she said "Not quite, my child. But with the Infinite Reunion activated, you can summon meteor with no resistance. Everyone on the planet is as you and your brothers; no more enemies for any of us--all family. All thats left is using meteor, Sephie. You wont exhaust your JENOVA cells with the Infinite Reunion active, so you wont die, sweetie." I smiled and said "Yes.... I can finally rule this planet by your side, Mother... Just as i promised during my childhood..." Not waiting another minute, i immediately started summoning meteor full scale, targeting the entire planet like normal. As it quickly spread across the planet, i said with pure desire "Its finally mine.... This planet... is mine!" I knew that was Mother's feelings talking there but i didn't care; i knew Mother speaking through me like that was a strong sign she was finally happy--and free. That made me feel better than i had in years. Suddenly, i heard someone say "Wake up.... Kadaj, wake up." I looked around but didn't see anything except the planet Mother had reclaimed and my brothers who were still beside me. Suddenly, i felt someone shaking me and moaned. Then i opened my eyes, and realized everything id just seen and done was just a dream and wasnt happening at the current time. I suddenly found myself looking up at Mother, who i knew had woken me up. I smiled at her and reached my hand out to her, gently touching the side of her face and said "Mother.... I love you..." She smiled back at me, and said "How do you feel?" I replied and said "I feel great... like we're finally winning this war, after all these years of a desperate struggle..." She giggled a bit, and i said "But... where am i..?" Mother replied and said "Youre home, Kadaj. On my spacecraft i landed on the planet in. This is where Sephiroth was born during his first incarnation." Then i paused and said "What..? But what about the Mako Reactor?" Mother replied and said "I used that place as a distraction for the time being. Shinra Company is on a rampage on the planet, trying to track you down and take your powers. With Sephiroth inside of you and still developing, i couldn't risk them invading that place and ruining everything all over again. So i took you through a time space that led us to here quickly and achieved liftoff before they could hurt you and possibly cause us to lose dear little Sephiroth as well..." Then i tried to get up, but Mother stopped me and said "Dont get up, Kadaj. You still need to rest. If you try walking around now, you will bump into things and get hurt." Then i said "But... i've always wanted to sail the cosmos with you like this... i cant even look outside and see the universe's beauty..?" Mother smiled and said "You won't have to wait long, Kadaj. The war is near its end, and we have won." I smiled, and Mother put her hand on the side of my face, smiling back at me. I then said "But... what about Yazoo and Loz? And Young Brother Sulbio..? Are they ok?" Mother replied and said "They're still on the planet, but the enemy doesn't stand a chance now; theyre out of time. I only left them on the planet to fool everyone into thinking we're still there, and they know this and are keeping the enemy distracted quite well." I suddenly paused and said "Theyre out of time..?!" Mother nodded and said "We're too heavily armed for them to have any odds at victory. My lifestream has made a comeback, people are dying from severe Geostigma who oppose us, and its also preventing the enemy from killing your brothers who are still on the planet." Then i said "But how..?" Mother paused, gazing elsewhere, and said "My lifestream not only kills all who oppose us, but it also protects all those who are pure in me and are my direct offspring. Likewise, if Yazoo were in danger, it would do something to the attacker to save his life. Normally it would be something very deadly to the attacker and inevitably kill the person within minimal time. After defeating or scaring the attacker to a safe distance, it would then heal any wounds or injuries Yazoo may have suffered within a matter of seconds." I then smiled and said "Wow... thats incredible..." Mother turned back to look at me and said "As you can see, its not likely they'll be wriggling out of this one." I laughed and Mother joined me, both of us laughing playfully at everything that was finally looking up.
